| Job Description | BASIC SUMMARY: The Grant Writer is responsible for the tasks involved in grant seeking. This includes the research and writing of all proposals and letters of interest sent to grantors, as well as preparing any required grant reports. The grant writer is also responsible for compiling quarterly metrics reports from Civicore, the Hope House Program database (i.e. – how many teen moms we are serving, demographic info, etc)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: o Work with the Director of Development to plan and implement an annual calendar of grants requests o Work with the Director of Development and Program Director in order to determine the types of grants needed for programs and the amount to request o Provide monthly reports to the Director of Development before each Board meeting o Notify the Director of Development of any responses from foundations so a thank you can be sent o Research current statistics and make available through Shared Docs o Research of foundations, corporations and other grant funding sources o Direct all grant requests first to the Director of Development for review, then to the Executive Director and Board President for signatures o Write all proposals and letters of interest sent to funders o Prepare any required grant reports 15 hours a week, $14 an hour
