Boulder Writers Alliance News
Visit our Meeting Notes page for the presentation PDFs from our October 29th educational program, Writing for e-Learning. The program was a joint production by BWA and the Denver Metro E-Learning Developers (DMELD). The many attendees learned about:
- What are the skills of writing and e-Learning, and how do they overlap? What brings BWA and DMELD together on this topic?
- What are the nuts and bolts of writing for e-Learning: content chunking, needs assessment, etc.? What are the “translatable skills,” in either direction?
Members and friends had an enjoyable evening at BWA’s August 27, 2013 social & networking event. Once again BWA hosted a communications community get-together at the Boulder Cork. The many attendees appreciated the free food, along with a chance to meet or get reacquainted. It was a chance for marketing and technical writers, book authors, graphic designers, training developers, and other communicators, to share ideas and network.
BWA presented a special Graphics Workshop for Writers earlier in the year. Established Colorado designers Betty Taylor and Michael Hamers showed how to create and use graphics for online or print publications. You can get a copy of the available workshop presentations on our Meeting Notes page.
