Calendar of BWA Events |

BWA program meetings are the fourth Tuesday every other month: January, March, May, July, September, and November. The following information is provided for your planning convenience, but is subject to change. Please check the Announcements area of the home page and e-mail messages for any last-minute updates to meeting plans. Meetings are at NCAR (unless otherwise indicated). BWA's governing Steering Committee meets at 6 PM at NCAR before the program meeting.

May 27 - Solveig Haugland presenting on Getting to Know OpenOffice.org You might have heard people talking about OpenOffice.org, how it's free, and how it's compatible, more or less, with Microsoft Office. Or you might have played around with it and found it to be potentially useful but a little confusing. Haugland will separate the facts from the myths, demonstrate Microsoft Office compatibility, and show a variety of features including the basics, the cool stuff like built-in PDF, and of course the advanced features that you'd need if you wanted to use OpenOffice.org to create technical documents. |
