The Author Platform: What It Is and Why You Need One Now

Have you been wondering about the mysteries of getting published? Join us as Kristina Holmes and Michael Ebeling, Literary Agents from Ebeling & Associates Literary Agency, shed some light on the subject.

Ms. Holmes and Mr. Ebeling will tell us what an author platform is and how it relates to book marketing; how a platform helps authors to secure a book contract with a publisher and to effectively market and promote their books; and how it functions as the gateway to greater career opportunities. They will also divulge how to begin establishing a platform, how to know when a platform is strong enough to attract literary agents and publishers, and how publishers' lack of publicity support can empower authors to develop the initiative not only to become a published author, but a wildly successful author with multiple revenue streams. Don’t miss this chance to discover more about the intriguing world of publishing!

About our Guest Speakers:
Michael Ebeling and Kristina Holmes form Ebeling & Associates Literary Agency, a non-fiction agency that has secured six-figure deals with major publishers (Simon & Schuster, Penguin Books, Random House, Hay House, McGraw-Hill, and John Wiley & Sons). Ebeling & Associates Literary Agency works with individuals who desire to create positive change for the world. They promote work that encourages and motivates people to find their passions and fulfill their dreams, and have over 18 years experience in the publishing industry. They offer Literary Representation and Publishing Consulting for nonfiction books, Author Platform Development, and Affiliate Marketing. They learned the business of literary representation from managing authors' careers one-on-one, and have been "in the trenches" with authors from the initial stages of platform development to even a national television show. http://www.ebelingagency.com
