Finding a Job Using the Internet

Search BWA Web Pages

In your search for employment, you may have overlooked one resource that has emerged in recent years. The Internet and the World Wide Web provide newsgroups and Web sites that have on-line services and jobs listings you can scan. Some of these areas allow you to submit your resume on-line or offer to build you a Web page from the information you provide. These services will cost you some money, however. After placing your resume on-line, potential employers can scan areas containing a list of resumes.

Other lists simply display the jobs available. Remember that although a job listing may not have the job description you were looking for, you now have a list of potential employers. For example, if you are seeking work as a software documentation writer, you could send your resume to any software company you find, hoping that they also have technical writers on staff to document their product. This holds true for any other industry as well.

Below I have listed only a few of the resources I found on the Internet. This will save you some time and money since you won't have to search for sites and pay that usage fee.
